Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Story-driven open-world title combining classic RPG elements with emergent gameplay and dynamic world simulation. The game is unique for its historical setting of medieval Bohemia and challenging first-person melee combat.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance was developed after a successful Kickstarter campaign and released in 2018 for PC, Xbox, and PS4 platforms.

Abridged walkthrough of quest ‘Bonum Commune’.

Responsibilities

  • I was the design owner of side quest ‘Bonum Commune’ for the final DLC
    A Woman’s Lot operating in a small team with a dedicated scripter, level artist, and tester. I worked on narrative design, level & combat encounter design of the enemy encampment, and wrote dialogues using in-house writing and visual scripting tools.

  • For the DLC A Woman’s Lot I also helped with other quests, providing general level design recommendations regarding navigation, signposting, and readability, techniques that were not utilized on the project up until this point.

  • Additional work on Kingdom Come: Deliverance includes playtesting and balancing the game’s Hardcore Mode, writing and editing additional dialogue and barks, post-release support, and gathering feedback for the studio’s next project.
